I was so excited to get a couple new stamps sets available to Stampin' Up! demonstrators as part of our sneak peek from our New Catalog. I was so busy last week getting ready for guests, and having so much fun last weekend with the family. Then I spent the next couple days recovering from all the activity. Yesterday I finally got a chance to get into my craft room, with it's clean, organized table, and start some creating. I love this new set called Happy You. It has all these cute little mini images, and they pair beautiful with the DSP Summer Smooches paper. I could not wait to make this cute little baby card. I spent a lot of time playing peek-a-boo with my babies this past weekend, so it seemed very appropriate for my mood.
I tried adding some buttons to the card, at first, but they seemed too bulky, so I pulled out my Sizzlets Buttons, and got the embellishments, without the bulk. I'd love to send this little card to my little grandson, Kol, just to let him know how much grandma misses him already. We sure played and sang silly songs together.

Kol and Grandma |
I have to share with you, that I really looked forward to my son Tony, and his wife, Smita and their 7 month old Son, Kol, coming to visit last weekend from New York City. I always look forward to their visits, but even more so with the baby. This is the third time we have seen our grandson. My daughter, Laura, and her husband, Tom, and their baby. Olivia, 5 mos., came to visit Saturday, and Sunday we all met at Como Zoo. Our son, David and his wife, Melissa are expecting their first baby in September, and David also has a daughter, Emily, age 7. Emily is my little crafting buddy. She always finds a reason to make a card at grandma's house. She thinks I got that Big Shot for her!

Olivia was having a blast |
We had a fun visit to the zoo, with temps in the 90's we had to beat the crowds off. I love going to Como Park, in St. Paul. I lived near the park when I was 7 to 9 years old, and was allowed to go play in the park, so I visited the zoo frequently, along with my younger sisters. Yes, it was the olden days, when kids were sent out to play, and told not to come in until lunch time, and we wandered far. It's a big city park, and it was over a mile from my house to the zoo!! Those were the good old days, and I love telling my kids the stories of my wanderings.
We had a great time just hanging around the house with family all weekend. We just loved sitting back and watching the babies, play, too. Our cockateil, Snowflake, is very social, and loves to be right with the family, too. She likes to fly around and land on peoples head, or back to be right in the center of everything. She gets down on the floor to see the babies. We are definitely her flock!

Snowflake our bird |

Look at that surprise when bird flew away |
Kol was so interested in the bird. Daddy kept telling him it was a white pigeon, which is so New Yorker. He could get so close to the bird on the cage, but when he would reach out his hand, the bird would fly, and baby would laugh, and they would do it over and over again.
I thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today, and tomorrow I will have more cards to show you, and something very special to share with you, too. Can you guess what it is???? Come back on Friday to find out!
