Another Reason to Smile this morning
We got some much needed rain overnight, about an inch at about 3:00. The rain was dripping off the roof, but it did not cool off much last night, and it felt so weird to walk out the door at 5:30 this morning and find that it still feels warm out. I drive up north to Wyoming, MN, which takes about 25 min. to pick up my granddaughter Olivia in the morning. My daughter's family live an hours drive north of my house in Rock Creek, and she and her husband both start work at 6:00 am. They work in two neighboring towns, so Laura drops off her husband and continues south to her job, where she works for a company that builds fire engines. She worked many years as a welder, and now manages the parts department. To save her about 45 min. in the morning my husband or I drive up and pick up the baby from her at work. We come back to our home, and we all go back to sleep. Olivia generally sleeps until anywhere from 8:30 to 10:00, so I do get to sleep in and I have no trouble going back to sleep. I decided to stay up this morning and get a few chores done before Olivia is up for the day. I wanted to catch up on my computer communications, and pack up my craft supplies for 5 days of crafting, so I can pack up and leave this afternoon for northern Wisconsin again.
Here is another card made with the Reason to Smile stamp set. I was looking for something that would really come off as clean and simple as this stamp set. Three Daffodil Delight daisies layered over some Summer Smooches DSP. Add a little scallop to the edges and you have captured the country flavor I was looking for. From the Petite Pairs stamp set I chose "so many smiles" for this card, and I hope it brings out the smile in whoever receives this card.
Have a great day, and a wonderful, safe 4th of July!
