Peaceful Evergreen

I had to play with another new stamp set that I got this week called Evergreen.  I was so excited to get this sweet little Christmas set that has Silent Night in the shape of a tree, that I stamped over the image of the solid tree.  Inside the card I used another image that gives the outline of the tree.  It also has a beautiful sentiment for inside the card.  This will be one of the cards that we use at our Christmas Stamp-a-stack class II in November.  I'm sure that my friends will love it.  The card is quite easy to make, too.
The tree was stamped with Lucky Limeade, which I stamped off once to give a softer image. Then the Silent Night was stamped over it with Early Espresso.  I cut it out with my Labels Framelits, and sponged the edges with Early Espresso.  The salutation came from the More Merry Messages.  The paper used on this card came from Candlelight Christmas DSP.  The Vanilla card was embossed with the Snowflake EF.  I added a button and bow, and a little gold embossed star to complete the card.
I am going to play along with a couple of challenges for this card.  I used the layout from Simply Stampin' Challenge, and the colors are from Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso from the Pink Paper Bakery Card Cafe week 13's color combination, and the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #162  asked that we make a card that represents PEACE or CALM to us.  This card was inspired by my image of peace, found in the woods, and that is represented by the song Silent Night.
My hope is that you have a peaceful weekend, and enjoy some time by crafting.  I, on the other hand, am about to celebrate my grandson's first birthday with a Halloween costume party on Saturday.  There will not be any peace and calm there.  It should be wild :)
Blogging for you from NYC, and having a great time.
