Spring flowers blooming all over

A couple weeks ago, my friend and I decided that we were going to challenge each other to make a different kind of card each week, to get us motivated and give us some direction.  With Mother's Day coming, I thought that making floral cards this week would be a great idea. I had seen a card using the Flower Shop flower to make your own background, and I have been dying to give it a try.  Because I took a limited amount of supplies with me this weekend to do some stamping up at our camper, it was the ideal time to do this.  I love this whimsical flower, and yet I can't remember using it before.  The idea of "Make Your Own Background" was the theme at Seize the Birthday Challenge this week.  Color Throwdown #340 had the perfect color combination, so I used Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizazz, and Coastal Cabana for my colors.  Then, the idea for the layout came from Sketch Frenzy Friday's challenge.  Around Retro Rubber challenge 13 "Anything Goes", so I think I'll play along there today, too.
In my packing I threw in some precut dies that I had made for other projects, but had not used, thinking they would be the perfect thing to have when I did not want to take my Big Shot along to the trailer for the weekend.  I had to find the perfect greeting for a birthday card, and have it fit in the space I had precut, and this fun sentiment from Lovely Amazing You was perfect.  Inside I stamped a sentiment from Butterfly Basics.  I can't wait to send this off for somebody's birthday.
I took some fun photos outside this weekend of the cards I made.  Everything was put away for the winter, and we have hardly unpacked anything for outside at all. We had taken down this birdhouse, and the clothes line, and are looking for a new place to hang both.   We had to take down some trees to make way for our new trailer, as the old trailer had stood here for over 25 years.  Trees grow quite a bit in that length of time, and we went from a 24 foot trailer to a 32 foot, so we needed additional space.  The good news is that the 2 large trees that we had to take down were on their way to dying already, and they had become unsafe.  We feared they would come down on the trailer in a storm, so it's good they are gone, and on a better note, we have plenty of firewood to burn for our campfires.  I had a great time making this spring birthday card, and have more fun cards to show you, so stop back again soon.

No, that's not a deer in the woods, it's a statue.
But, we do see a lot of deer walk through our campsite almost every weekend.
