Fast and Fun Happy Birthday
I wanted to share with you one of the other birthday cards I had made this weekend. It's not often I make something so fast and simple, but I was dying to try this idea that I had seen someone else use. They had new Happy Birthday die cut, and they stamped on the white paper after cutting it. I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp on another card, so I tried those flowers for a fun image. The flowers were small enough that they fit nicely on the delicate die cut.
I found inspiration in a couple places for this card. Just Add Ink's color challenge #362 was for Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Peekaboo Peach. Hand Stamped Sentiment #265 had a layout that worked for my card, and surprisingly CAS-ual Fridays' challenge 175 was to use patterned paper. Just Us Girls #396 wants you to use die-cuts. Since it is a birthday card, I will play along at The Paper Players Theme Challenge #347. See, they practically made the card for me!
I just had to share this fun birthday card with you, and after I swap tomorrow, I can share another with you. Just you want and see!

ReplyDeleteI love how you've stamped the flowers on the h-b di cut & created a shadow layer. Looks so effective on the patterned paper. Your little embellishments were a perfect finishing touch too. Glad you could play along with us at JAI.
